About Our Compost

Sun-Land maintains a 60 acre state of the art compost facility, located in Marina, CA next to the Monterey Regional Waste Transfer Station.

On this site we compost a large percentage of the green mulch from the transfer station.  This comes from the recycling of landscape materials of Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. We also compost spent mushroom mulch from Monterey Mushroom; which is produced as a waste product from the growing of mushrooms.

These products are combined into One Earth Organic Compost. 

We also produce Humus Rich Planting Mix and Garden Compost.   These products consist of mushroom mulch combined with wood products and composted to make gardening amendments for the retail market.

All these superior compost products are registered with the US Composting Council and are STA approved. 

One Earth is also listed with the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and complies with national regulations for organic crop production.

One Earth is available in 1 cubic foot bags as a retail product and in bulk deliverable by transfer truck (large loads) or in 50 cubic foot reusable bulk bags.
