Redwood Soil Conditioner can be used as a soil amendment or decorative mulch. As a soil amendment it is long-lasting and decomposes very slowly. The large particles create air space and help open up dense soils that are difficult to irrigate. Additionally, redwood provides food for earthworms and other soil dwelling creatures who tunnel about, eating and further opening up dense soils. As the material decomposes it releases materials beneficial to creating and sustaining a vigorous and healthy soil. Can also be mixed with traditional potting soils for use in large containers where additional drainage is needed.
